The brief was to show the entire range of construction adhesives sold in Mitre10 and to hero the enormous holding power of their NEW 'Selleys Liquid Nails Rapid Dry'.
The Events Team repurposed and refurbished existing collateral to create a cost-effective, high impact stand.
After a bit of creative brainstorming they came up with the inspired idea to suspend 200KG of weights from two plates held together by the new Liquid Nails product.
The technical boffins at Selleys said the product was capable of a lot more and that it would be "safe as houses". But because the other display components like the chain and shackle didn't come with the same testing and assurances, we decided to set it up in the warehouse and leave it for a week. A week later the display was still rock solid.
So then we set up the display at the Mitre10 Expo. It was a BIG job and took a crew of 5 half a day to construct but the finished result looked amazing.
And it was great to watch people walking past come to a complete stop in disbelief as they tried to figure out if it was real. Trust us folk when we say it really does what it says on the label.
